WHATS THE MISSION?
Our mission is to go to Okinawa, Japan this January to partner with Empowering Japan—a ministry dedicated to advancing the gospel across the nation. While there, we’ll be trained and equipped through their network of local ministries, while also stepping out to serve alongside them in evangelism, prayer, and outreach. This trip is not only an opportunity to bring the hope of Jesus to Japan, but also to be personally strengthened and trained up as missionaries to carry the gospel wherever God leads.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARRIVE?
When we arrive in Okinawa, we’ll take a day to rest, recover from travel, and adjust to the new time zone—spending some time at the beach and sightseeing before diving in. From there, we’ll begin with fellowship and connection as we get to know the Empowering Japan team. The trip will then move into a rhythm of teaching, training, and hands-on ministry as we join in various outreaches, sharing the gospel and serving the people of Japan together.
WHO SHOULD COME?
This trip is for missionaries and believers who are hungry for more of Christ and sense the call to something greater—like reaching the nations with the gospel. If you feel stirred to step beyond comfort, to be trained, stretched, and used by God in a new culture, this is for you. Whether it’s your first mission trip or one of many, Okinawa is an opportunity to grow deeper in intimacy with Jesus while answering His call to “go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15).

Before you are able to come onto a missions trip you need to fill out an INTEREST FORM. The form will be reviewed by our team and determined if accepted or declined per trip requirements and capacity.
Once your interest form has been accepted, you will need to complete the TEAM REGISTRATION FORM. A $40 processing fee will be due upon completion.
Our team will give you a template for a mailable letter requesting funding for you missions trip. This letter can go to friends, families, and churches. We will also create a digital online campaign that is easily sharable on social media.
There will be multiple deadlines allowing you to incrementally complete payments towards the overall total of the missions trip. The total will need to be paid in full before the start of the trip. At this time, funding is based on the individuals ability to self fundraise.
At this point, there is nothing else left to do except...GO! Be the hands and feet of Jesus sharing His love and creating a global impact!

Our trip cost covers everything you need once you leave your home until you return. The total is determined by analyzing the cost of airline tickets, ground transportation, three meals a day, and many administrative fees that Psalm 72 incurs and referencing them with known costs in Japan.

If you want to be part of this team, please complete this Registration Form with a $40 registration fee. This fee covers the cost of a Psalm 72 Japan team shirt and locks you in as a team member. Once you are contacted by your team leader and your place is secured on this team, you can begin raising financial support by sending out support letters to your family and church friends. Simply have them send missionary support to us for your trip costs.
Your team leader will help you develop your support letter and include two important dates for your supporters to note. The first financial deadline for half your support ($1,237.50) is due on December 20, 2025. This first deadline is very important to keep because it will enables us to purchase your airline tickets. Once airline tickets are purchased, there is no backing out of the team. The second deadline for your entire amount is January 3, 2026.
The earlier you register the sooner you can start raising your financial support. We encourage you to get this out of the way early so you can enjoy the experience without any distractions. You will be so glad you did!

EMPOWERING JAPAN
Empowering Japan has a network of local Japan-based ministries that they collaborate with having training conferences, evangelism events, prayer events, and more. They also provide avenues for short-term missionaries to have ministry opportunities in Japan.

This ministry is already making disciples in Japan where statistics say that only 1.5% of their population is Christian. They work with Yomitan International Church. There is great need there to build up ministries like Empowering Japan and provide physical help to give them more tools to make disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ!
